subspheroid to ovoid; number of walls: 2, smooth, colorless; L x W: 23.4 x
21.3 (17-24 x 18-28); L/W ratio: 1.1 (1.0-1.2); M: absent; OR: absent; PG:
present. Distinctive features of oocyst: lack of M & OR.
Description of sporocysts and
sporozoites: Sporocyst shape: ovoid; L x W: 15.4 x 9.9 (8-11 x
14-17); L/W ratio: 1.6 (1.4-1.9); SB: present, small, nipple-like;
SB: present, small, acentric; PSB: absent; SR:
present; SR characteristics: subspherical, coarse granules; SP:
vermiform, each with one, terminal RB and centrally located nucleus equal
in sixe to RB, randomly arranged in sporocyst . Distinctive features of
sporocyst: compact SR.
Prevalence: 1 of 2 (50%) A.
o. turdinus and 2 of 4 (50%) A. i. infuscatus.
Sporulation: Exogenous. Oocysts were
stored in 2.5% (w/v) aqueous potassium dichromate solution at
ambient temp. prior to examination.

Oocysts found in feces.
