Remarks: Eimeria ludoviciani was described from C. ludovicianus (Vetterling, 1964). It is similar to E. callospermophili in size and shape of the oocyst and sporocysts; however, the oocyst residuum is composed of a compact mass not large homogenous globules and the sporocyst residuum is conspicuous rather than nearly transparent.
