Description of sporocysts and sporozoites: Sporocyst shape: ovoid; size: 9.4 x 6.7 (8-11 x 6-8); SB: unknown; SB L x W: not given; SB characteristics: not shown (in drawing), but the description indicates a SB is present; SSB: absent; PSB: absent; SR: present; SR characteristics: globules arranged peripherally in sporocyst, but shown between SP in drawing; SR size: not given; SP: refractile globules present at ends. Distinctive features of sporocyst: none.

Remarks: The sporulated oocyst resembles that of E. os, but has a dark inner wall (Svanbaev, 1963 drawing) that E. os lacks. Svanbaev (1964) wrote a second paper describing E. menzbieri as new, even though he had already described it in 1963.
