Description of oocyst: Oocyst shape: ovoid to ellipsoid; number of walls: 1; wall thickness: ~1.0; wall characteristics: smooth, brownish in color; L x W: 20 x 23 (16-22 x 20-28); L/W ratio: 1.2; M: absent; OR: absent; PG: present, prominent, round to ovoid. Distinctive features of oocyst: lack of OR.

Description of sporocysts and sporozoites: Sporocyst shape: ovoid; L x W: 13.8 x 9.0 (7-12 x 10-17); L/W ratio: 1.5; SB: present as a protruding, nipple-like body; SSB: present, prominent; PSB: absent; SR: present; SR characteristics: granular, smoothly contoured, but irregularly shaped; SP: sausage-shaped with RB at each end and generally lie lengthwise in sporocyst. Distinctive features sporocyst: prominent SB and SSB.

Prevalence: 4 of 12 (33%).

Sporulation: Exogenous. Oocysts were stored in 2.5% (w/v) aqueous potassium dichromate solution at ambient temp. prior to examination.

Prepatent and patent periods: Unknown.

Site of infection: Unknown. Oocysts found in feces.
